I know it`s ridiculous but maybe it`s bc of the cuts that NBC has given DOOL and of course vets would cost more but then again they could cut in the other useless younger characters.

Jay's back according to soapoperadigest.com. Apparently he had to return because he's under contract.

I can't believe Drake and Diedre where fired. Corday must really want Days to get cancelled.

I also read that others were fired. You know what gets me is why bring back Brady when they have characters who people like that have no storyline now.

Diedre and Drake got fired. It's rumored that Peter and Kristian are going to be on recurring status. Also, 5 other actors will be let go.

Now the rumors are the Jay is staying as Philip.

ITA and I also would have taken Phloe happening fast, like a wedding and at least a payoff. The reason I`m even more upset about this is bc of the new Brady and now they want to recast Philip, no way can anyone take JKJ`s place now that he`s the powerful yet vulnerable Philip I`ve always wanted to see. It`s like replacing Joseph Mascolo in the role of Stefano, doesn`t make any sense. Brady is such a boring character that I don`t even notice much difference with a new actor.

I have mixed feelings on this. For Phloe I am sooo upset, heartbroken to be exact. I know we didn't get Phloe this past year, but with Jay and Nadia still on the show there was always hope. I feel like this was our only chance to get Phloe and now its gone. Jay will never come back to this show and it's most likely going to be cancelled anyway, it was only renewed for 18 months. So this is the end of the Phloe story. I can't handle that. We deserved some resolution, we...

Wow. to me it`s a major bummer.
