1. About the In Your Eyes Boards:
These boards house very dedicated Chloe and Philip fans. Most of us choose to support, as fans, the sole pairing of the two Days of Our Lives characters, Chloe and Philip. Some of us like Mimi, Belle, Shawn (etc) and others do not.
Popular consensus on the "In Your Eyes" boards is very much Pro-Phloe (as a couple).
1.1 In lieu of the historical Broe vs. Phloe board wars that have ensued in the internet community, a post with the intention of provoking one at IYE will NOT be tolerated. This includes posts that we feel may provoke a "war" whether intended or not. The thread will be deleted immediately or edited at the discretion of the moderator. Continuous violation of this guideline will result in the offending party being permanently denied membership to IYE.
Our dedication and support of Phloe (Chloe & Philip) should be taken with an air of humor and fanaticism.
The Philip and Chloe Message board is not spoiler-free. Virtually every post has some reference to speculation, rumor or a spoiler about Days of Our Lives.
Please try to keep all messages on the P&C Board relating to Chloe and Philip or Days of Our Lives. All other posts not related to the show should be posted on the General Discussion Board.
Any posts that we feel eloquently expressed our passion for Philip and Chloe or we found to be particularily "memorable" will be moved to the "Memory Lane" board when the post has fallen to the second page.
Please do not copy the recaps of episodes onto another board or site without permission.
If you intend on posting video clips, do so on YouTube. It is a copyright infringement and thus IYE wants no responsibility.
Couple "mash ups" are welcome, but again our site is small and has no room to host them. Feel free to link a post to YouTube or some such video provider.
2. Disclaimer:
The opinions posted on the boards belong solely to the poster and should not be considered as the opinions of In Your Eyes
2.1 Do not use either the "Philip and Chloe Message board" as a forum for negativity.
2.2 We will have zero tolerance for negative bashing about the site itself, against posters on the message boards, or against us (Victoria and Christina). Bashing of this degree will result in the offending party being permanently denied access to the IYE boards without notification. Similarly, if we discover a poster has been bashing any of the moderators or the site, we reserve the right to take appropriate action.
2.3 If we feel it is necessary we will deny your registration to the board without notification if the rules relating to slanderous comments are not met. We also reserve the right to delete and edit posts that may be taken offensively by other posters.
2.4 Posts that slander another person on another board or at IYE, or address in a negative light an entire fanbase (ie. Shelle fans) will be automatically deleted or edited at the discretion of the moderators.
Bashing another fanbase is not permittable. But actions taken in this case are at the discretion of the moderators.
2.5 Varying opinions are absolutely welcome but negative opinions against people (as opposed to soap characters) will not be welcome.
2.6 Early Edition spoilers are to remain at Early Edition as per their request. Do not cut/paste their recaps onto the boards, instead just provide a link to the site.
2.7 If you are not a Phloe fan and choose to post at IYE using an anti-Phloe banner or screen name you will be deleted (and possibly banned) regardless of your message or intent. And we will absolutely NOT tolerate posters who bad mouth IYE's name and posters elsewhere, but choose to post on the board. You will be banned.
Please be aware that the boards are heavily monitored by the moderators and administrator. If you would like an explanation as to why your post was removed, please do not hestitate to e-mail us. If you have a problem with us, the site, or another poster, please e-mail us at chloephilip@yahoo.com and we will attempt to rectify and address the situation.
Keep in mind that we have banned IP addresses and in some cases if you share a similar IP to a perpetrator, you too may be banned accidentally. If this does happen, please contact us immediately.
2.7 Messages that have acceptable content but are posted using an unacceptable, and possibly offensive screen name will be deleted immediately. The screen name in question will be deleted from the main server and you will be unable to post until you have obtained a less questionable name.
The name "In Your Eyes" may NOT be used on any campaigns without prior consent from Victoria and/or Christina via the official e-mail account at yahoo (chloephilip@yahoo.com) There will be absolutely no exceptions to this. If you would like to propose a possible IYE campaign please e-mail us at the above address. Similarily IYE will not "support" any negative campaigns.
In addenum, if you choose to ask for money on IYE in order to support any non-IYE campaigns, you must first e-mail the webmistresses and ask permission. If permission is not asked the post will be deleted.
3. General Board Etiquette:
Please try to reply to a thread that has the same topic you wish to post about instead of starting a new one. It consolidates space in the long run- and keeps posts from falling to the next page too quickly.
Remember that posting thread titles or messages in all caps is indicative of shouting or screaming.
3.1 Avoid using profane language. For example language that you hear on television during the daytime or the afternoon can be considered as acceptable. Please have respect. Swearing is offensive to many people and in most situations it is unnecessary and avoidable.
3.2 Do not bash the actors (ie. Nadia Bjorlin or Jay K. Johnson) of Days of Our Lives, any other soap opera or television show. They are talented people who work hard to bring entertainment daily into our lives and deserve to be treated with the utmost respect.
3.3 Please keep in mind that this Message Board is linked directly with Nadia Bjorlin's official site, and Jay Johnson himself has admitted to visiting In Your Eyes. Therefore it is possible that a Days actor may stop by and lurk. Negative posts against Days' actors may offend them and may be edited at the discretion of the moderators.
3.4 Keep fanfiction updates to the fanfic board. Posting on the main board that you have a new chapter update is not allowed and your "update" or "reminder" will be deleted.
Please be respectful when speaking of Jay and Nadia's personal lives. It has come to our attention that they have, indeed, visited the message boards and the site. We want to ensure that they feel at home as much as we do!
Soap character bashing is acceptable as long as its done with humorous intent.
As board moderators we reserve the right to edit/delete posts that we feel may eventually cause problems (even if the post does not violate any of the guidelines).
If you feel that you can not adhere to these guidelines, than perhaps IYE is not for you. We stand by our decisions and guidelines, they are made with the best intentions of the site and board in mind.
