IMO, DH is so desperate to have her own stories/characters front and centre, that she could care less how she moves Chloe from plot to plot, as long as she
keeps her away from her leading men. About the timing - she has been with Lucas a while now. It's not like she had three one-night stands with strangers in
one week. Chloe does not need to seek attention from men (I don't think it really plays that way either) but couples are the mainstay of this show and they
seem unwilling to let her be single. End result - she is moved from man to man. I am not thrilled with the timing, but the show isn't bothering with build
up like it used to with any of the couples, IMO. For me it is more the method (elevators, exam rooms) rather than the timing. I find it in bad taste.
Unfortunately I think the writers think that sex sells and hookups are hot and sensational.
Dena Higley did an interview before the elevator sex blackout fiasco and pretty much said she saw it as dramatic and exciting. She said she wanted to push the characters' (Ej/Nicole and Lucas/Chloe) relationships from B to Z in one event. We all know how well that was received. Lucas/Chloe have subsequently flopped and she had to find a way to end it - so we see her great mind at work again with Daniel.
We try so hard to find logic in these 'stories', but sometimes there is none. I do think that DH dislikes Chloe, but I also believe that TPTB just compound their errors by choosing the wrong methods to fix problems. Corday fired 80% of the writing team during the strike, and has had several new head writers and producers all battling for new ideas and changes. It's a disastrous approach. You look back over a year and find that all the characters have been in love/lust/hate etc. with so many people it makes your head spin. As for Nadia, sometimes being so pretty can be a curse as much as a blessing - they have shoved her in so many 'love' scenes it's ridiculous.
Nadia did an interview with Nelson Branco a while ago which was quite revealing:

Also, in a recent interview about Daniel/Chloe, she did say that she hoped her character could be 'redeemed', and that was before it even aired. She knows. I'm glad she is getting a storyline and I admire her professionalism and positive attitude, I just wish that Days was in a different situation, and Higley was not hacking up the writing and characters.
